JEFF BELL

I am an artist and photographer based in West Knoxville, Tennessee. My work examines the dialogue between local landmarks, architectural forms, and the surrounding natural landscape. By stripping away color, I draw attention to structure and composition, revealing subtle layers of surface, texture, and detail which often remain unseen.

In exploring the space between structure and perception, ordinary scenes transform into abstract, intentional compositions.

By focusing on rhythm, balance, and contrast, I isolate fragments of the world to reveal their underlying design.

My work is less about documentation and more about reimagining what is seen — each image evoking a black and white film still from another time and place.

All images are printed on aluminum panel hand, and recessed in matte black frames.
